Every person professionally handling PKMN will need a license to go out and do what they do, and this is the place to get them. The application within holds all the information one will need to get such a license and, with any luck, you'll follow in the footsteps of the many great legends who came before you.

The Solaran Islands

No New Posts
Once a thriving resort and nature preserve, Isle Eterna stands now to reminds others of the hubris of humans. An earthquake damaged the enclosures and set many of the rare and powerful Pokemon free, prompting an evacuation. It's been off-limits to the public for decades, and those who steal passage illegally often never see home again.

This small town marks the beginning of many journeys. Home to the laboratory of the famous researcher Professor Pine, young men and women of all ages usually get their kickstart from him/her. Located on the interior of Amore Island, it is imperative that all trainers seek flight away from this little nest.

The first step to any Pokemon journey is taken on Route 1, the small road that leaders from Summerville to Port Cobalt. Many trainers experience their first battles on this road, and like many places in the region it is often crawling with Pokemon.

Upon seeing the deep blue waters of the Cobalt Coast, one will not question the legitimacy of its name. Port Cobalt is a thriving tourist attraction and midway point between the city of Heather and the port of Clearbrook to the north. Port Cobalt has no gym, but it is nonetheless a hotspot for trainers from all over the region.

Luka's Chain is a series of small islands dotting the areas west of Heather. Named for the explorer who charted and mapped all of the islands centuries earlier, Luka's Chain offers trainers and researchers alike a unique opportunity to explore ocean habitats and the Pokemon that live there. The Chain is also a popular spot for tourists and ferries run through the islands regularly.

Don't be fooled by the name - the brook is actually a large river sweeping across the landscape to the ocean. Clearbrook City itself is a large nautical monster, sprawling across the western coastline. This is the gateway to Solara, and home to the first gym most trainers encounter on their journey.

This large forest covers the entire southern portion of Solara save the bits on the coast dominated by palm trees and sand. Many Pokemon inhabit this forest, but as one closes in on Millside the trees disappear and give way to the foresting industry.

The forest of Millside and the town therein are centers of bustling timber industry, but also a battleground for those who say the industry is destroying Pokemon habitats. Those who disagree or simply don't care threaten that stopping business will destroy the lives of those who work there. Nonetheless, trainers who pass through Millside would be wise to avoid conflict.

At the south of the region lies the city of Heather, a growing metropolis bustling with hardworking fishers and an infant tourism industry focused on the city's pristine beaches. The leader here is a fourth generation leader, and the position is hardwired into her family as if it were literally genetic.

The seat of the region's government sits within this city. Much like its name, this is a wealthy community, mostly populated by rich people. There's no gym here, but no one really minds. Anyone looking for a quick buck would probably be wise to challenge the rich young trainers looking to test their mettle, but be warned! In the shadows of the towering skyscrapers skulks an evil that seeks to break the spirits of the stupid and adventurous.

The road from Clearbrook to Goldenview is paved with large trees and shrubs, all of which house any number of Pokemon typically unseen elsewhere. The "fae" of these woods are mythical, as travelers of old often claimed to see dancing lights within the tree's leaves.

Meadowhaven is a small city sitting on the river Elys, where farming is the main source of work and income. Meadowhaven is known for being the region's breadbasket and its peaceful lifestyle make it an attractive place for retirees. Do not underestimate the gym here, though, for the quietness of the town belies a rather tough battle ahead.

The route up through the mountains leads to the city of Northrest, the first stop on the way to Frosthelm. The higher one climbs, the colder it gets. The climate abruptly changes here, so make sure you pack appropriately.

Nestled between the mountains and the hills that lead into it is the town of Summitmist which, much like its name, is constantly assailed by thick mist tumbling down from the chilled air of the mountains. Summitmist is home to a gym and many scenic landmarks and serves as a supply point for those heading up into the mountains.

Indeed, there is much shivering to be done here. The mountains seem to scrape the very sky as the tower above the land below. The trails are treacherous, the passes are perilous, and those who are unprepared seldom makes it back to sea level in one piece.

Only the hardiest of folks live here, and that's just the way they like it. Frosthelm lies in isolation in the midst of several tall mountains, the upon which are trails that would challenge the most skilled of trainers. The skyline is dominated by a large lighthouse, designed to guide to the city anyone who dares to challenge the frozen mountains.

If one chooses not to challenge the passes up the Shivering Heights, the alternative is to take the safer route up through Northrest. Must like Frosthelm, Northrest is surrounded by a wall of mountains, but sits comfortably with a connection to the lands below it. The road to the west out of the city leads to Frosthelm, and is the only route almost guaranteed to be safe.
